World medalist Jonathan ‘Bum Bum’ Lopez (6-0, 4 KOs), of Humacao, weighed 118 pounds and his opponent Edwin ‘Puto’ Rodriguez (10-5, 5 KOs), of Juana Diaz, weighed 118 pounds for his combat scheduled to eight rounds in the bantamweight.
 
In another stellar fight of the boxing evening and the vacant Caribbean title of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) of 135 pounds, Alfredo ‘Ojo’ Santiago (11-0, 3 KOs), a native of the Dominican Republic and based in Fajardo weighed 135 pounds and Mexico’s Diego Contreras (10-1, 6 KOs) from Saltillo Coahuila de Zaragoza weighed 134.4 pounds in 10-round bouts.
 
Other matches: Christian ‘Pimpi’ Lebrón (3-0, 3 KOs) of Ceiba, weighed 126 pounds and Ángel Velázquez (3-2, 2 KOs) of Caguas, weighed 125.4 pounds. Toabajeño Orlando Felix (12-2-1, 4 KOs) weighed 144 pounds and Fernando Semidey (1-6-1, 1 KO) of Carolina, weighed 143 pounds in 6-round bout at the maximum weight of 144 pounds. Bryan Tanco (7-0, 6 KOs) from San Juan, weighed 169.8 pounds and Mexico’s Ernesto Berrospe (11-12, 6 KOs) weighed 168.8 pounds in a six round bout at 168 pounds and debutante Ángel Rosado, from Canóvanas, weighed 136.6 pounds and Luis Burgos (0-2), of Canóvanas, weighed 134.6 pounds in a four round bout at 135 pounds.
