The eight-time world champion in seven weight divisions Amanda Serrano, a native of Carolina, Puerto Rico, will return to the crowd on Friday, September 13, from the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden, located in the city of New York.

Serrano (36-1-1, 27 KOs), will seek to be world champion for the ninth time when he faces the featherweight world champion (126 lbs) of the World Boxing Organization (WBO), Heather Hardy (22-0, 4 KOs), from Brooklyn. The fight will be broadcast live on the DAZN application.

“If there is a boxer who knows me well in the ring, it is Heather Hardy because we have performed as four gauntlets. She is strong, fights with great courage and has a big heart. She, like me, campaigns in mixed martial arts and even signed with Bellator. The important thing here is that the fans will be the winners since Hardy and I are very popular in New York, we always go to battle. The same fans of us had been waiting for this fight for five years, ”said Serrano, who in his last fight in January, I only need 36 seconds to become world champion of seven weight categories, this when he won by knockout in the first assault on Eva Voraberguer, of Austria, in a duel that was for the WBO world scepter of 115 pounds.

“The 126 pounds is my natural weight and where I feel a thousand percent. For my beautiful island and for female boxing, I make sacrifices to raise and lower divisions to make history. There is talk that the winner of this fight will have a mega fight with Katie Taylor and that is fantastic since it would be one of the biggest fights in women’s boxing, but right now my concentration is only directed towards Heather Hardy, ”said Serrano.

“Many of the other world champions have vacated their titles to avoid fighting with me, but Heather is a true world champion who accepted the challenge and my respect for her and her team,” said Serrano.

Serrano, is the only female or male exponent in the sport of professional boxing, who has won world titles in seven weight categories under one or several of the four world-renowned bodies (WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF), surpassing the legendary boxers Óscar de la Hoya and Manny Pacquiao, who have won world titles recognized in six weight categories.

The billboard will be starred in the 135-pound world qualifying match between Devin Haney and Zaur Abdullaev.
