The highly anticipated rematch between the top pound-4-pound fighters in the world, Andre Ward and Sergey Kovalev, was just one of a number of sensational fights in 2017.
Ward vs Kovalev II had the unified light-heavyweight championship on the line and as such was sold out within days of the fight being announced as taking place at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
The fight was sensational, both men gave everything that they had from start to finish.
The final action of the fight see Ward landing a vicious right hand in the eighth, followed by a series of big body shots that left Kovalev slumped over the ropes and earning Ward a TKO stoppage victory.
