Five-time world champion Vinny Paz confirmed that he will perform and hold a 'Meet & Greet' with his fans at 'Las Vegas Convention Center' for the 5th annual 'Box Fan Expo' on Saturday, May 4, 2019 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, during the weekend of 'Cinco De Mayo'.
The boxing expo will also coincide with the long-awaited fight between 'Canelo' Álvarez and Danny Jacobs, which will take place later that night at the T-Mobile stadium.
Paz will make his second appearance at this year's expo, where he will sign gloves, photos and personal items. Fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures with this boxing sensation also known as Pazman. Paz joins Devin Haney, Earnie Shavers, Al Bernstein, Michael Spinks, CMB, Erik Morales, James Toney and Jessie Vargas as the first confirmations of this year's 'Box Fan Expo'.
About Vinny Paz
Paz changed his name legally in 2001, but he fought in the 1990s as Vinny Pazienza. The devil of Pazmanian. In 1991, he defeated WBA junior middleweight champion Gilbert Delé by technical knockout in the eighth round in Providence, becoming the second fighter in boxing history to win the medium and lightweight junior world championships.
Pazienza was forced to give up the title due to a serious car accident in which his neck was broken.
Doctors informed him that he might never walk again and never fight again, but Paz's tenacity and determination showed that they were wrong and made a miraculous return to the ring only 13 months after the accident, defeating the future world champion WBC junior middleweight Luis Santana for a decision.
His incredible life story about his resistance to overcoming adversity was inspired and developed in the film Bleed for This released in 2016. Paz retired in 2004 with a remarkable record of 50-10, with 30 wins by knockout.
Some of his most notable fights were against Roberto Duran, Roy Jones, Jr., Roger Mayweather and Hector Macho Camacho.
