Back in 2010 then undefeated World Boxing Council (WBC) Super Middleweight champion Carl Froch made his way to the MCH Messecenter stadium in Herning, Denmark to take on local warrior Mikkel Kessler.
Kessler, who was fighting on home soil, was the far busier fighter initially, working at a high rate and letting rip with sensational combinations in his attempt to outbox the Nottingham man.
Froch is a true warrior and fought his way back in the latter stages but after a fiercely contested 12 rounds, it was Kessler that was awarded the victory by unanimous decision.
As with the previous fight in this series, Steve ‘USS’ Cunningham Vs Tomasz Adamek in December 2008) are contests so competitive and those who made the journey to Denmark, or watched on TV back in the UK, were treated to one of the most exciting bouts of the past decade.
