When Aberdeen’s six time, five division World Champion Lee McAllister facesGhana’s Richmond Djarbeng tonightthere will be more than just pride on the line, after it was announced late last night that World Boxing Organization (WBO) regional championship will also be fought for when they step in the ring at the Northern Hotel in Aberdeen.

McAllister also announced that he had negotiated with the Professional Boxing Council (PBC) permission to also defend the PBC Intercontinental title, he secured, along with the Ghana National Championship, with a third round stoppage victory over Collinson Korley in Accra, Ghana on the 7th March this year.

Lee McAllister versus Richmond Djarbeng – The Rematch, will headline the globally broadcast LET BATTLE COMMENCE IV, in association with ACREO, Bounty Competitions, Panda Rosa Metals, Empire Pro Tape and Go Sports & Entertainment, but there have been some drastic last minute changes to the undercard due to issues for some of the international fighters that were due to take part.

World Boxing Council (WBC) Asia Champion Neeraj Goyat and fellow Indian Boxer Sukhdeep Singh were unable to secure flights, due to the rise of COVID pandemic in the region leading to India being added to the UK Governments Red List.

Nicaragua’s Christian Narvaez, who was due to fight Nathan Beattie and Jose Aguilar, who was due to face Kevin Traynor, were refused entry into the UK due to similar COVID related issues following their flights from Spain on Thursday.

Boston, Lincolnshire’s Angelica Finch was not as lucky as Beattie and Traynor, as a replacement opponent couldn’t be secured in time, following her opponent Carly Mackenzie being forced to pull out at the last minute. As such the revised undercard is;

PBC/WBU International Super Lightweight Champion Nathan Beattie, who will now go toe to toe with Belfast’s Marty Kayes, rising unbeaten Featherweight prospect Kevin Traynor will now face debuting Jay Cartwright, stylish unbeaten Heavyweight prospect Craig Dick takes on Tomas Vaicickas, and local Heavyweight Liam Allan makes his second professional outing against Belfast’s Darren Burns.

LET BATTLE COMMENCE IV, in association with ACREO, Bounty Competitions, Panda Rosa Metals, Empire Pro Tape and Go Sports & Entertainment, is headlined by Lee McAllister versus Richmond Djabeng – The Rematch and will take place at the Northern Hotel, Aberdeen on Saturday the 29th May 2021 and will be broadcast live and free to view on FITE and VIVA LIVE TV as well as further linear and digital channels globally (please check local listings)
