Pat Brown:

“This is part and parcel of the pro game. I’ve said it multiple times, if you want to make it to the top you’re going to have a lot of eyes on you, you’re going to have a lot of media. If I can’t hack it now then I might as well pack my bag and leave and quit this sport.

“I’m just grabbing it with both hands. You only have one pro debut. It’s going to be an electric atmosphere. This is where my mind frame switches. I turn into a different animal now. I’m ready. I’m itching to get off the chair to be honest with you. I’ll wait until Friday, it’s going to be a good night.

“I appreciate him coming over from Argentina and taking this fight. My previous opponent backed out. I’m just fortunate enough that I’ve got an opponent now. He’s game, he’s coming to fight and that’s what I want. I don’t want a journeyman who’s tucking up and who’s not wanting it. He’s in good shape and he’s been training. Like he said, he’s up for it. It’s all good for me that.

“Just a mature performance to be honest with you. Everyone says that I can bang and stuff. I’ve never punched in 10oz gloves before. Jamie keeps asking if I want to try them out in the gym and I said I’ll wait until I’m in the changing room. When I get my first and I start feeling that leather and I start banging them pads, it’ll be the lightest my fist has ever left me. That’s what I can’t wait for.”

Frederico Javier Grandone:

“First of all, thanks very much for the welcome. I’m very conscious about who I am fighting, about where I am fighting, but I’m really calm and I’m calm about the work that we’ve done and the work we have put in. I’m confident that I’m going to win. I’m going to leave my life there on Friday night to win.

“When I first got the news that I was going to fight in this particular fight, I saw it as a great opportunity. I had no problem, I’m always training, I’m always in camp and I’m always ready for these opportunities to come my way. As soon as they mentioned this fight to me, I said no problem – let’s do it.

“I’m completely focused. I understand the atmosphere that I am going to face but ultimately it’s just us two in the ring. I also have experience of this – not having a promoter at times in Argentina, I’d always be the away fighter. I’m completely prepared, focused on this fight. I am confident that I can go and get this victory.”

Cameron Vuong:

“I think that’s what he was banking on – me not making weight. Posting these old photos from holidays years ago. Making this big thing that he’s coming up in weight. We’re not silly. Probably through my own cause, I haven’t made weight properly in the past, but I’ve done it properly this time.

“I believe I’ve beat people better than him in my last three fights to be honest. You had a life and death with Kane Baker. He’s just so cringe it’s unbelievable. I find it unbearable being around him to be honest. I’m looking forward to it. We’re here now. The fight has been built. This is third time lucky. I can’t wait to just punch him square in the face on Friday.

“Unbearable, cringey, just a weird character. I don’t really understand it to be fair, just really weird. Buys Instagram followers, he’s just a really weird guy to be honest. He’s playing on this whole weird thing. I think 9 of his 12 fights have been at Lightweight or above, but he’s a Super-Feather apparently. He blocks shots with his face so I’m looking forward to hitting the heavy bag on the night and embarrassing him.”

Jordan Flynn:

“I’m very happy that we’re finally here. It’s been a long time coming. Third time now, it’s mad. I can’t believe we’re actually seeing him sat here. Two days away and yeah can’t wait. I had doubts, I didn’t really think that he was going to make the weight. Are you going to make weight Cameron?

“Justice for Gavin. This fight is all about justice for Gavin. We need to lock this little weasel up. Everyone saw what happened with the Gavin Gwynne fight. Unfortunately, Cameron badly robbed him. He got beat up every single round. He got gifted the win. I wasn’t actually going to take this fight, but Gavin rang me up after the fight, and he was like, he’s running away – he’s not rematching me. Do you know that Gavin, I’ll do this for you. They offered me the fight. I’ll give him a beating for you and let you clean up with him after.

“He’s just a weasel. Personally, I believe he has a lot of pressure on him, not me. He’s the one being hyped up to be the next World Champion. I’m a nobody. You guys don’t think I’m anything. I’m just the stepping stone to this guy. There’s a lot of pressure on him. He’s been hyped up to be pound-for-pound great, sparring Shakur Stevenson, beating this guy and that guy. He got beat in his last fight – he had a life and death with Jeff Ofori. It’s got to come to an end, he keeps on conning the public, and I don’t think it’s on really.”

Reece Farnhill:

“I’m sure he knows what he’s up against. He’s in for a tough fight. I can box, I can fight – I believe I can do it all. I’m looking forward to it. It was a good moment winning the English Title, especially as the lad I boxed beat me twice in the amateurs. It was good getting a win over him. It means everything to hold onto it. I’ll be doing all I can to do that.

“I’m not looking past this weekend, but I believe I can go to British Title level – top of the British level. Push on from there and see how far I can get. Whatever way I need to do it, I’ll just get the win.”

Mark Dickinson:

“I don’t blame making Middleweight for my loss in Japan. I had a very good hard ten-round fight. I got hurt very early, and I came back. I’ve just got all sites set on Friday night now. As he mentioned, I’ve got a tough fight, but he’s got a tough fight as well. I’m very versatile, I can box in many different ways, and I just can’t wait to show it on Friday night.

“He’s a tough lad, he’s game. He can box a bit as well. Tough, game, strong, high work rate. It’ll be an entertaining fight. Obviously with my style as well, I don’t like to take a backwards step. I think we’ll steal the show to be honest.

“I’ve definitely got a massive pair of balls. Round 2, as Sam will tell you. I fought with a cracked rib for the next eight rounds. I was biting on my gum shield to make sure that I didn’t go down. I think I cam back into the fight. The score didn’t reflect that, but we had a very good fight out there. I just can’t wait to show what I can do at 168lbs now.

“Winning the English Title will probably be the best moment of my career. My dad’s brothers were both English Champions and I think it’s only right that I’ll be the third to do it.”

Conner Tudsbury:

“Well it wasn’t really the first round. Heading towards the fight, into the fight – it was my debut so I had a lot of people that I wanted to make proud and put on a good performance. Once I was in that ring I felt comfortable. I had a quick start and I wanted to get him out of there. I got him out of there.

“Obviously be undefeated, get lots of experience in and literally work my way up to be on that world level – top 10. And then work my way up to become number one eventually. I’m not saying I’m going to do that in a year, but in good time that will happen.

“The energy in the gym has been really good. Training hard but laughing at the same time. Everyone is just pushing each other to do even better. We’re all looking forward to putting on a good show for everyone.”

William Crolla:

“I’ve got massive self belief and I’ve got massive confidence. That’s why I’m doing what I’m doing. If you’re not confident then you’re not going to do anything. I’ve always believed I could do something in the sport. I had a big break away from it and I came back. I’ve given it my absolute everything. That’s why I’m reaping the rewards now. I was here this time last year, I was on one of the Before The Bells. I’m a few pegs up that ladder now; I’m opening the broadcast. Friday night, it’s going to be fireworks. Friday night the fans are in for a proper treat – our styles are going to proper gel and I can’t wait for it.

“I think the last fight, that was a much better win than it looked on paper. The lads that he’d been in with had over 100 amateur bouts internationally. I knew straight away that he didn’t fancy it once he felt the power. Obviously I dispatched him. I know what I’m capable of, and I’m capable of much more than that.

“My opponent has never been stopped. I’ve watched him, he’s got some nice skills. His two losses have come at Super-Middleweight which he has no business being there. He’s back down at his proper weight now. I don’t feel like he’s been in there with someone like me. Friday night I’m looking to make another statement.”

Emmanuel Zion:

“I know too much. The reality is, I’m a fan of his brother. Let’s be real, I’m getting in with a Crolla. I’m going to tell my kids. For me, being here is… I’m not lucky because I’ve earned it. Being here is amazing because I remember that kid being at home sitting and watching all of the boxing. Now I’m here.

“I know enough about him. I’m not stupid. I do my homework. I’m going to be honest with you, you lot are not paying me enough for this fight. Considering how his knockouts have been going. One round knockouts in the last three – this is looking dangerous!

“Luckily for me, I’m smart enough. I’ve got good defence and as you’ll see – I’m a hell of a puncher myself. Like he said, our styles are going to gel. I can easily see this fight getting stopped very quickly end of either end. It’s going to be fun. This is why I’m here.

“On Friday, we’ll see what the hype is really about. As far as I’m concerned, I think I’m good enough to give anyone work. If he can go in there and hang in with me then he’s the real deal.”

Taylor Bevan:

“I couldn’t ask for a better start to my professional career. I’m very grateful to Matchroom Boxing for getting me out so frequently. I want to stay active. I’m looking to put on another solid performance on Friday night.

“It’s made the transition very easy for me because it’s a team I’m familiar with. I’m used to doing all the same training that I used to do when I was leading up to the Commonwealth Games and before that as well. I’m enjoying the training in the pros. It’s a little bit different to what we were doing before but it’s all familiar faces around me and people that I trust. I couldn’t be in better hands.

“I think it’s just experience doing the media stuff. You just get a little bit used to it each time you do it. I feel like I’m familiar with it now. Each fight week I’m feeling more and more comfortable.”

Liam Taylor:

“Obviously the opportunity has been there for a while. This now is a run out for me, but obviously there’s a lot on the line. I know on Friday I’ve got to perform, for a bigger opportunity to fight Conah (Walker).

“I look back and I think, how have I kept going? I fought for the British Title five years ago, and then obviously I fought Avanesyan for the EBU European Title a couple of years ago. Domestically I’ve been around that for a long time. It’s always been my dream to win the British Title. Even if I’ve only got 12 months left in the game, I want to win that British Title. I’m determined to do that.

“I feel like Conah Walker is a better style to fight than Harry Scarf was. He’s a come forward fighter who likes a tear up. I don’t mind it myself. I feel like it’s going to make a great fight for the TV and for the audience. He’s someone that I feel like I can beat.”
